    Default Reset Win7 admin password

My elderly neighbor asked me if possible to help him unlock a Windows 7 laptop (Dell XPS). He changed the password a few days ago but forgot to write it down. I tried two software programs (Ophcrack and Offline NT Password) but did not get the expected result.

Try Lazesoft Recovery Suite The free home one will be OK for your usage.

Or just the password option, still needs to make bootable media.

Used it for years on W7. W10 have more sophisticated software

thanks for the prompt answer. It seems not able to use it on my MacBook Pro. For Ophcrack and Offline NT Password, I downloaded the ISO and burn it to USB with UNetbootin on Mac

The downloaded installer is Windows based, so cant be installed on a MAC. Once installed then it offers the option to make a ISO.

The Windows 7 X64 ISO is approx 167MB. Just created and made / uploaded the ISO (for CD) relating to W7 x64, you can download it from https://ufile.io/y3p54s9o

Then it needs to be burnt to a CD with ISO burning software.

Bro,because i have never used any software of Lazesoft to reset Win 7 password,i cannot confirm if it works on Win 7,but why not use Ophcrack?
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophcrack
You are allowed to create a bootable USB disk, the disk is able to reset the Win7 password, and you can login to Win 7 with another account, then open Control Panel, click on Add or Remove User Account under User.....in this way,you can remove the password of the forgotten password account.

    .
Ophcrack is rubbish, it can take hours and still fail, it may have been OK with XP and earlier but not now, theres many ways to bypass W7 Password, most of the downloadable software is only trial and you need to buy it to get full features, Lazesoft is free and does work on W7 & W10. If it were windows 10 and uses a email login, then you need even better software.

    Was this spam?

Win7 is easily bypassed by replacing the accessibility helper with a command prompt.

    Enough said.

Its easier than that with win7. Just run a password wipe tool from bootable CD .
Also works with Win10 for local a/c's .
