What to do in Taranaki

We are taking our motorhome down to Taranaki and would like some recommendations as to the attractions and what you think we should do.

Tupare Gardens are a must

Sympathise with the locals as they mourn the devastating blows to their local economy caused by the loss of the Oil fields and the dairy industry, both capricious acts of this government.

Pukekura Park, Pukeiti Gardens, Dawson Falls, the art gallery, the coastal boardwalk.

Pukekura Park is a eye opener but there it's lots of other things that other places don't have

We are a bit too old to go mountain climbing or surfing but fishing sounds alright. Where do you suggest we go fishing?
