There is an unsightly black cable running down the side of my house.
I'd like to remove it, but my g/f says leave it there in case I sell the house.
I have no plans to sell the house

    What do you think
got a pic of the dish? including how its fixed to the roof.

i would just leave it there as it works for freeveiw or any other sat service which may come along in the future.
i would only remove it if the install was dodgy and could be a liability to the house.
    Tweak it till it breaks

We removed an old aerial here a while ago, huge ugly thing. cut the cable first, then unbolted it and took it off.
Just cut the cable if you're not bothered about the dish.

couple of issue with cutting the cable, one is can replace it later on should you need to use it?
the other thing is its not good to leave cut cables out in the open. your better to remove the old cable completely and seal up any holes in walls etc.
i have had tv's that have died because water has gone down the cable, dripped into the tv and shorted it out.
so much better to disconnect it off the dish and remove the whole cable.
    Tweak it till it breaks

Nah. Too much work, just subscribe the cable to MS Auto-update service and it'll be bricked before you can say Windows Genuine Advantage.

    it used to be.

Even easier in Windows 10, the automatic self-bricking service is mandatory!
Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.

Sorry, but the latest versions are henceforth to be referred to exclusively as "persondatory".
