Spark sport made a mess of the Rugby, lets see if they can get it right for the sailing.

Did they? On the comments on the articles most people were saying they had no issues, and were suggesting those with problems look at their end instead.
Which I suspect was mainly the issue.

The rare moments I streamed it, it worked fine. Even with our **** internet connection.

Spark certainly did have problems. There were LOTS of complaints, there was on article on TV that Spark even said they could see the stream degrading as they were putting it out. That's one of the reasons they switched over to Normal TV instead of sending it back to USA to encode then stream.

One article Spark said they were meant to have 6 steam outlets but only could use one.

One guy I helped, everything else streamed fine, on the first game that spark put out it was nothing but pixels. The guy uses a VPN, to watch USA and some English sports and shows which is turned on/off and locations change to suit, so we located a free live stream and he watched it Via Aussie - 100% clear and perfect. He did say Spark were improving but still have problems.

I read that article and it mostly seemed like a BS plug for Spark's 5G network.
According to it, there has never been a system which could transfer data from ship-to-shore before.

All you guys who thought there was, were simply dreaming.

It's the amount of bandwidth/number of channels that is the difference.

If there's anything Spark can't stuff up, The Guinness Book Of records will be interested, if skeptical.

I had no problems streaming the World Cup after I changed out my original Chromecast to a Chromecast Ultra. Set up is VDSL 21 Mbit max, vanilla Spark router, ethernet over power, basic switch at the HT gear, Chromecast Ultra connected to a 12 year old TV so I'm not sure where you get the "Spark stuffed up comments from. Stuff seemed to be running an anti Spark Sport article every day of the RWC.

From Experience, I had a few calls from customers having problems with the spark RWC feed, with the exception of one their setups were fine on everything else. After the first transmission, most the stream came right on its own, meaning they (or I hadn't changed anything) So whats changed ??? Sparks Problem which they admitted they had.

Remember when, on ADSL, the schoolkids would get back from school and everyone's internet would slow down, lots of complaints, same thing but on Fibre, not enough bandwidth even though Spark says there is.
