That's not so much a joke either....yes it's funny, but I know people who actually have no clue, not only how to drive a manual but what it all means too.
I said R for race and all that (old joke) and they actually believed it....and really had to ask how it worked.

So yep, isn't quite yet, but it will be. Especially as a number of manufacturers have said they won't make manuals anymore too.
