    Default PM stranded in Oz

Oh gosh, our Airforce plane has problems in Melbourne. The 757 Boeings are getting a bit long in the tooth methinks!

    Embarassing

I think its how the air force operate the 757 which is the problem. They are always throttle bashing it. Because the taxpayer pays for the AVTUR they run a hotter EGT than a civvy airliner. Most disregarded gauge is the fuel flow meter. Pilot training instead of a simulator is circuit bashing at WP with fighter wannabees flying tight oval circuit patterns.
Its amazing how Potatoes give us chips, fries and Vodka.

I have the same problem with my walking frame at the moment. It's a bit of a worry.

Don’t know why they don’t have a suitable aircraft replacement in the pipeline The 757 isn’t a great aircraft, seems to spend its days shuttling back and forth around the country sometimes it gets deployed for overseas duties.

Unfortunately for us they kept letting the previous ones out instead of sending them to that Island hideaway they have for undesirables.

The 757 is a great plane, loved by pilots and passengers. There's still 600+ in service around the world and it's not the plane's fault the Air Force can't or won't maintain them. I assume that's out-sourced to Air NZ?
