Never resorted to name calling, merely implied that you weren't looking at all the evidence and happily carrying on your way despite what vast amounts of evidence that suggest otherewise.

Glad we can all agree on that point - as I have mentioned before the biggest question/concern is that the earth appears to be warming at a much more rapid rate than usual and this could be due to mans impact on the world. Whether or not we can slow/stop this rapid warming and what the implications are is anyones guess, no one can see into the future but with the current predictions it's not exactly all roses and chocolates.
Who knows, in 50 years scientists may have different data to work with and the suggested future could look different but with the current data sets it's not looking rosy.

So glad you can see into the future - mind telling me what the next winning lotto numbers are while you are at it?

The sea levels were higher some 130,000+ years ago. I'm sure we can both agree that it would be a hell of a lot easier to move 'ancient' civilizations with their significantly less complex lives inland than it would be to move the city of New York or London. There is a reason so much of the world's population is based to the coast...

It's almost like science is constantly looking at the data and changing their theories as more light is shed on the topic, if only we could all be so opened minded.

As for the affects of climate change on pacific islands, just have a little google around - there is no end to scientific journals and studies on the matter, here I'll kick you off with one: http://climate.org/submerging-paradi...cific-islands/

Now be fair 1101, Bozo has gone to a lot of trouble to earn his Title/Name and in this time of political correctness should be respected.

    Ah the BBC, pfft
NOT scientists. Obvious Bias . Dont bother with fact checking . More scaremongering to get more views
As I stated before, its all too easy to cherry pick data and reporting .

Recorded temps only go back 135 years , not so impressive if they bothered to mention that .
so a banana is well and truly deserved . Parts of Eu used to be quiet a bit warmer than they are now , easy deduced by the type of crops that used to be grown when it was warmer .

    from that BBC article
"While extreme weather events like heatwaves occur naturally..."
my, god. Extreme events would happen regardless. Dont put that in the headline though .

"Records going back to the late 19th Century show that the average temperature of the Earth's surface has increased by about one degree since industrialisation."
1 degree . Hardly the end of the world then is it .

Some people are just love conspiracy therories. All this is on that sort of level. Cherry pick data, believe and quote only what shows things to be far worse than they actually are. Refuse to believe there is
a middle ground thats no so extremist . Resort to ridicule & name calling .

One degree at a time of huge population growth, industrialisation and coal burning.

    As I've said many times
If you believe in Global warming (man made or not)
If its really an emergency then it needs drastic action now.
What do you think "the world" should do about it?
