Default Online Storage for my photos - options?

I want to get online storage for my photos for safety (1 Tb). Even though I backup fairly regularly on two different external hard drives, that is not completely safe. A good low cost option seems to be Microsoft One Drive. Have checked out the internet and there are many different top ten (etc) suggestions. It gets pretty involved. Any suggestions re things to be aware of, or other storages sites please? I use Windows 10.

My dad was a photographer. he redid some old family pics....so old it was pose for ages and B&W when cameras were first invented.

Now think of the media today. From even a few years ago. Anyone got a FDD? No?
    CDs were then the thing.
    Then hard drives.
    Then cloud.

If you want them to last a long long time, get them properly printed, not off your PC printer.

Many thanks for the feedback, piroska, but my needs are different today. I think I may have a photo of you from 2007. Were you then known as pctek, before you moved to Auckland? Anyway, thanks again, Jim

I have a number of photos on Flickr, pretty sure it will cost you with the numbers you are talking about, not sure when you exceed the free limit.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

I started using "Canon Irista" a while ago with there free 15GB account. What I liked was the fact I could upload my raw files. I have a Canon camera, but I don't think it matters what you use. https://www.irista.com/

Yes, zqwerty, Flickr has drastically reduced the amount of free data you can have. I think that you are now only allowed 1000 free images, then you pay. I think that there are better options, I am now checking out Backblaze (quite a few recommendations re that one) and Smugmug.

Thanks for mentioning, Davoid, but no-one else at all has mentioned "Canon Irista" and I have put out quite a few feelers. On top of that I am a "Nikon man"!

I use Google Photos to backup from my phone but they also have a desktop app.
    https://www.google.com/photos/about/
It's free unlimited storage if your photos are no more than 16MP and videos up to 1080p.
Not sure what the cost is if you have larger photos or want to store higher quality videos.

This is what I use. Can't give you any technical feedback, but it is very muppet-proof and does everything I need it to do.
