    Default Retired at last

Yesterday I retired from my school driving job. I have been doing it since 2008. SWMBO says she has a few jobs for me to do. So, hopefully doing them, riding my e-bike and photography will keep me occupied for a while.

I also want to take a look at Linux of some form but will wait for winter to do that.

Enjoy your retirement Ken. If it is anything like mine you will soon start to wonder how you ever had time to go to work

Husband complains it's boring and he wants to do plumbing again.
    Alas he can't.

Never mind he has to install an oven on Monday now.

Enjoy your retirement Kenj. I did 54 years in the telco industry before I retired at the end of 2016. Have plenty to do these days . Wonder how I had time to fit in a full time job back then.

I find these days I'm more dependent on Outlook to manage my life than I ever was before retirement. Not because of getting older (although having most MSM from my life, I find I do need Outlook to tell me what day of the week it is), but because I'm fitting more and more different activities into my day.

I despair at the banal braying of radio hosts with their incessant talk of TGIF, of any impending long weekends, of the drivel that passes for entertainment on TVOne at 7:00pm.

My message to those such people is, retire - and get a life!

Actually, correct that ... for "the drivel that passes for entertainment on TVOne at 7:00pm", I should have said "the 24/7 drivel that passes for entertainment on mainstream and Parliament TV". Why should TVOne get all the credit?

Thanks guys. It has only been part time, 20 hrs a week at the most. Had a think and it is nearly 62 years since I left school.

Time sure flys when you are having fun.

    Congratulations Kenj
I'm 69 and want to retire - I have so much to do.
But I don't have much money. House is freehold.
I am still working part time.
But if you keep working you may never have the time and you may die or get sick any time.

    .
    Freehold means not leasehold.

    You mean mortgage free.

Try being on a pension with a mortgage!!

Without - you sure do have enough money to live.
