Thumbs up New Air NZ Airbus 320 and 321 aircraft

Air NZ recently took delivery of it's first A321neo (New Engine Option) aircraft in Hamburg. The aircraft, registration ZK-NNA, is the first of 13 new Airbus neo aircraft (seven A321neos and six A320neos) to join Air New Zealand's fleet and was planned to enter commercial service on 23 November operating flight NZ739 from Auckland to Brisbane.
The new fleet will replace the A320s that currently operate Tasman and Pacific Island services, while a further seven A321neos have also been ordered for the airline's domestic network and are expected to be delivered from 2020 to 2024.

This video is a time lapse of the final assembly in Hamburg right through to the delivery flight arriving in Auckland.

only to unlock the door . They use the big red button marked "fly" to actually start the plane.

What engine option did ANZ choose?

Does that mean that aircrw have to retrain? same for maintenance engineers? I assume the 747s will be sold off. PJ
    Deafness.
When I was younger I heard but didn't listen.
Now I am older, I listen but cannot hear.

If it is not broke, don't make it broker by trying to make it better. (This applies specifically to PJ)

Watching that video made me nervous. Too much information really - those things that face unimaginable forces are just put together like a meccano set, with actual nuts and bolts and spanners?? I remember my first flight on a DC3 (from Alexandra to Gore!) and looking out the window and seeing all the rivets on the wings etc, and some looked like they were moving! It just looked like they could act like a zip and the wing would tear along the dotted line.
