Before Xmas, I did spot fruit cake being sold in Pak n Save but I walked straight past it and bought a Xmas baked fruit pudding. I put brandy laced cream over it.

I used to help Mum make the Xmas cake for a number of years when she was young and enthusiastic about the family Christmas in Northern Rhodesia, we assembled the whole thing, with the fruit mix and brandy and of course the lovely marzipan and icing:
