Office 2010 activation ... no phone registration anymore

Hi all

I'm having a problem registering a legitimate copy of MS Ofice 2010 Rro Academic, 3 user version.

Wife's computer died and she's recently replaced it with a new HP (I had no say in the choice of flavour) and I installed Office on it for her, fully expetig to get the standard 3 user limit warning when it came to registration time ... this happened the last time I went to install on the last lappy she killed ... but sorted it out without any problems by using the phone registration option which was available.

Unfortunately, when I attempted to do the phone registration, this option is "no longer available in your country" ... does anyone know if there's another way to contact MS to register the 2010 version ?? All the links I've tried seem to try brainwashing me into buying the new Office 365 and I just want my old 2010 back so that all 3 computers we have use the same version.

I think your last line summed it up. They don't want you using a 8 year old version of Office but want you to update to Office 365 . Wainui may know away .

it still works fine, just call the number, 0800 676 334, option 2, option 1, option 2 (I think from memory anyway?) the phone prompts are still correct, just follow it through.

If you can't get any joy out of Microsoft you can use a 3rd party activator (KMS), just look on Google. In my opinion you paid for the software, so you are entitled to use it. Try the suggestion by "wratterus" first. MS are trying to force you to spend your money.

its not a legitimate copy if you're using it outside the MS Academic Lic agreement.
