Those things are nasty, with poor WiFi performance at the best of times. Turn off the WiFi on that and get yourself a Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LR.
I can get over 100mbps regularly, through two doors and 20m away at my place. When I'm one room over, with no doors closed, I'll get 250mbps+
Again though this requires that you have an 802.11ac chip on your phone / laptop as well.
