Default Is it a good time to buy an ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q???

Been waiting to pull the trigger on this bad boy for some time and now PB tech have it for $999. The price has dropped marginally for the last few weeks and am wondering if new monitors are on the horizon and the price of the Asus will drop further.

Would hate to purchase now and see another $100 come off it in a months time.

What do ya'll think? Buy now or wait?

Something is always on the horizon, sooner or later you just have to jump on it.
If a newer better model comes out tomorrow it'll probably cost more anyway, but even if it doesn't will that make this one terrible all of a sudden ?

You can buy a 32" for way less. SOn got a Samsung last year, not a crap model, not totally awesome but certainly no issues for gaming.

Thanks for your input but it seems it was a one day sale (which wasn't stated on their website cause I looked so now its back to $1198.00. Ain't buying it for that price. I can wait.

I was going to say $999 is not a bad price for that monitor. It seems all the higher end monitor tech is taking a long time to come down in price. I've been watching a few 1440p 144Hz monitors for a while and they just don't seem to get any cheaper.
