Thread: I love red meat

  1. #1

    Default I love red meat

I don't understand how anyone can be a vegetarian. I could not exist on a diet of no meat. I love my meat too much.

But what about the protein you get from red meat? If you are a vegetarian, what do you have to eat to obtain the protein that you are not having?

Being a vegetarian does not sound like much fun. I think I'll stick with red meat.

Yes, certain vitamins can only be obtained from meat. If the no meat eaters don't supplement, they get deficient, it can take a long time for the symptoms to show, but also a long time to come right again.

We are blessed with such a variety of food these days that there is no need to eat meat to get the essentials.

No, but I don't go rubbing it in other people's faces that I'm not. If they don't want to eat meat, that's their choice, and not your business.

I have relatives who are vegetarian and seem to manage ok without supplements. I think it takes some effort to work out what you need to eat to stay healthy, but it's possible.
Personally I couldn't do it, I don't eat enough vegies as it is because I don't much enjoy them. Living solely on them seems like some kind of punishment to me.
