McAfee Safe Connect is annoying me a lot!

McAfee Safe Connect seems to have installed itself on my laptop despite my best efforts to stop it and without my asking for it. Anyone know how that happens?

This software is annoying me so much as it starts up when I start up WIN10, delaying other software from starting by an annoying period of time.

How do I get rid of this very annoying McAfee Safe Connect software?? What are the steps to uninstall/tell-it-to-get-lost/get rid of it? I already have NOD32 Antivirus operational for Internet security purposes.

Download and run Revo uninstaller ( FREE VERSION) Either the installer portable version, doesn't matter which.

When you run it, scroll down the list you should find McAfee Safe Connect (or other crapafee software)

High light it, then click Uninstall - this will run the mcafee uninstaller, once it finished when it asks to restart to finish ( or similar wording ) say NO, or close the window. In the revo window thats open, select Advanced, Revo will now scan and locate all the left overs, remove all reg entries, as well as folders - restart - should now be gone.

Note: if you dont run advanced it will leave many traces behind.

Not possible.

You perhaps installed something else - and left it at default.
Always install stuff in Custom or Advanced mode, look for the tick box where the added extra will be selected to install.

And run C Cleaner or your preferred reg cleaner afterwards to rid of any reg entries

It may have been bundled with another programs installer : eg Acrobat reader . You have to untick options to install other bloatware when installing acrobat free
Sometimes , even program updates can install crud like this, but that doesnt seem to happen as much nowadays
