Yesterday there was a loud crack when my Wireless mouse exploded. At first I suspected that one of the AAA cells was the culprit, but not so. Some liquid oozed from the mouse, and it was dead! Probably a capacitor?

Are you sure it's not one of the batteries?

On the subject of mouse batteries... try being deep into a computer game and have the batteries in your mouse or keyboard die.
It's worse when you lose the keyboard, coz you can't suspend the game while you troubleshoot the issue... just sit there and watch your character die.
I hope it wasn't a black mouse. There was a bad case of black sheep back in '06
Could have been rancid cheese. PJ
Deafness.
When I was younger I heard but didn't listen.
Now I am older, I listen but cannot hear.
If it is not broke, don't make it broker by trying to make it better. (This applies specifically to PJ)
