    I'm having a great day(s).

Son away at a wedding out of town, GD is away out of town at a friends.

2 whole days to myself!!!! No cooking!!

Did some cleaning up yesterday, washing, gardening etc, today I have nothing at all to do.
    It's lovely.

I'm always having a great day. It's good to be alive!

Any days above the ground have to be better than days below.

As a friend of mine said once...."if I knew how dark, quiet, cold and lonely this was going to be, I would have been cremated"

My day's no better or worse than usual lately. Though I feel in a better frame of mind since my oncologist gave me a better idea of how much longer I'll be around this week - I won't be seeing the end of the year. Just a matter of months to go. *sigh*

    **** Greg. What horrible news.
Remember they can't actually say when. It's an average....50% of people did, 50% didn't....heaps of things can affect that average too, older people may fail quicker, younger stronger and so on.

Husband has been saying he won't make it to....x.....for ages.
Won't make it till pension, won't make it till.....currently it's his next birthday (in July)

Aw thanks guys. Sorry to bring this morbidity into the forum. But to be honest I'd prefer sooner rather than later; life's become too complicated, and I'm struggling to deal with things in some ways. Eg my mental faculties seem to be slipping; I struggle to manage simple-ish tasks where it requires a bit of brain power, and I get noticeably weaker each week. Typing has become quite a schlep, having to almost re-type every sentence to correct grammar and spelling. Drinking has become problematic again, as I have difficulty in swallowing and not coughing up the liquids.

Two of my brothers manage my money and one of them outright refuses to pay for a new TV for me (I'm just after something a bit more flash, ie a Smart TV and soundbar), which I'd desperately love to have and for which I have adequate money, but I have absolutely no say in what he decides.

I'd nudge myself off the edge myself if I could... well actually I can quite effortlessly with the drugs I have available along with a farewell bottle of tequilla, but it screams against every fibre of my senses and beliefs. I'm so not looking forward to the last weeks when I'll no longer be able to move or wash myself properly.

Thankfully I have no fear for the future; I have a very strong spiritual understanding of what comes after.

Ah well, sorry again to be so morbid.

    .
Hey, be morbid, it isn't, it's part of life.

WHat??! What the hell has he got against a TV? Not Ren is it?
    I'll tell him off.

What, he thinks you're better off saving the money or something dumb?

Sh1t greg , You WILL me missed, while most on here never really know each other outside of the forum, its like a family never the same. It happens to everyone in the end, its all part of life. At the end of the day live it to the fullest. Theres a couple of my customers were told they wouldn't last another 6 months, 5 years later they are still kicking .

You may have to retype things but SO WHAT -- at least you make sense, not like some other forums its like WTF are they on

Just make the best you can with friends and family.
