    Default Movie recommendations

I'd like to get some movie recommendations from members please. I'm buggered if I'll get Sky, so will be looking for somewhere I can download free or dirt cheap. I spend most of my time reading and watching TV and given how miserable and ad-infested our free TV is any help would be much appreciated. Nothing earlier than about 1980. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Might be helpful to know what sort of movie you enjoy, we are all special little snowflakes after all.

I just watched Annihilation on Netflix, would't rave over it but it is a good sci fi movie as long as you are not an action junkie.
Saw Dunkirk, not my kind of thing but it is really well done

    Greg, I'm confused.

You want movie recommendations, or download places on the interwebby recommendations?

I can play with one, but not the other.

    HiBud. How about Youtube? PJ
    Deafness.
When I was younger I heard but didn't listen.
Now I am older, I listen but cannot hear.

If it is not broke, don't make it broker by trying to make it better. (This applies specifically to PJ)

Is that a nudge nudge wink wink ?
Almost site thats free or dirt cheap to download , will be pirated & dodgy . And riddled with popups : get a good popup blocker etc

There are movies & TV programs on Youtube , have to be quick before its removed though .
Plenty of legit programing on YT, some is actually very good . I watch more Youtube than TV now.

iTunes, Google Play, Netflix, Youtube red (I think), Amazon Instant, TVNZ Ondemand, Three OnDemand. Plus there's a bunch of geoblocked methods, Tubi, Crackle, Vimeo, Vudu, EPIX.

If you have to ask how, best you stick with legal, pay methods.

I'm looking for actual movie recommendations, not websites. Ie people's favourites from the last 20 or 30 years.

You could start on the series:- Bond, Bourne, Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood, Jack Reacher, Jason Statham, Lethal Weapon, Mission Impossible, Lord of the Rings.

Then there are Boy, 6 Days, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Last Samurai. Eye in the Sky is a goodie as is Leon the Professional.

It really depends on what you like.
