It did have probs last week. It was because of an expired cab file or something. It kept saying the windowsupdate service wasn't running.
If this is the cause / error it should have been fixed by now

The problem persists. All I get is this:
"Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer."
A restart does not help.
