The "Creator's Update" (version 1709) is on its way - I have two machines with it downloaded and installed the day it has been released.

Just done it
Got stuck at 85% for 45 minutes until I disabled Eset Nod32 and away it went so turn your AV off first
Initial install was build 16299.15. It immediately updated to 16299.19. All much quicker than the previous update, which took months to arrive.

They have changed the way the updates are delivered, so there can be a big apparent delay during the first phase at around 75% (when in theory you can continue working) and in return the period when you are locked out is much shorter. So your AV may have nothing to do with it.

Right, was watching it go to 85% and only started when AV was disabled but may have been coincidence
You can download the mediacreation tool, which will download the ISO
Installed on all the workshop PC's yesterdayThere was a "trick" to get the official ISO from Microsoft Servers using the media creation tool.
Had 3 Computers Auto start today, once it had downloaded in the background, it only took about 15 minutes to fully install/reboot. Pays to manually check for updates after as well. Nod32 was warning there are more, and just looked, sure enough "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4043961)"
Yup the KB takes it to .19. 2 of the PC's here had .15 on them.
I was going to check for updates, but the update had already installed. Just had to restart.
Was fine here with the Mediacreation tool. Downloaded the x86 and x64 ISO with it. Downloading the KB from the Windows catalog site, it took its time to connect / and download it tho.
But got the updates in the end
The update installed ok from the regular windows update option via control panel, though it took quite a while. Took the dog out this afternoon whilst waiting and it was all done when I got back.
The older computer it is on seems to boot faster than with 1703 and I see there is a fancy new welcome screen.

My two took much longer than that. The old laptop took a loooong time - lost count. The main machine ran out of space on C and I had to a bunch of reclamation before it had another go. Still took longer than 15 mins even after that.
