Under no circumstances try to find out Roscoe. My late father in law was a train driver and was involved with 4 people who tried to check it out. They proved that the train has right of way pretty darned conclusively. Unfortunately none of them survived to present a paper at a university to show how they arrived at their conclusions.

Technically there's no road when a train approaches, so neither

It is common sense to give way to a bigger vehicle that cannot stop in a hurry. A train cannot even swerve to avoid a collision. A good many railway crossings have barrier arms and bells so that there is no dispute who has the right of way.

So what happens if either train, plane, or cars demand the ROW at

Gisborne, where the railway line crosses the main runway at the airport?

    or

Gibraltar, where the road crosses the [only] runway?

    Just stirring ...

Whether the train or plane has ROW at Gisborne depends on the air traffic controller
