    Default Tropical Cyclone Cook

Just keeping track of the Cyclone or Ex when it reaches here

Might be worse than they are letting on as it is tracking at the moment down the Coromandel and high tide might coincide at the same time

Would not want a Beach place as you might see a lot more Sea than you have now

Use mouse on red line below to see track at any given time

Been persisting down in Hamilton for the last 3 or so hours.
I like this site https://earth.nullschool.net/ something about seeing the whole global wind pattern is cool. You can see the cyclones sitting off the coast.

Plenty of rain in West Akld, tanks full, annoyingly I had planted some mini silverbeet seeds, they'll be history now.
Oh well, put some more in when it calms down.

It has been a bit on and off, rain hard, stop, rain a bit more type of thing here.

Looks like it's moved further to the East and the wind values have dropped a bit

Still affect the Bay and Eastcape and not so much Auckland/Waikato though anything can happen as it changes

Phffffttt And Auckland gives wellington a hard time about the weather

Looking outside, low misty cloud with the sun trying to break through, no wind at all.

Hell almost good enough to drag out the BBQ

Calm, still, clouded over here in Chch, has been raining quite a bit last night. About 12degC, no wind yet.
It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
