    Smile Fiber connection speeds.

We've been on fiber for about 3-4 months now and on the 100-20 plan, with Spark.
Our problem is, while the speeds seem high, see below, connection of website is slow.

    22/2/2016 16:46 NZDT 122.62.3.67 90.18 Mb/s 22.45 Mb/s 31 ms Tauranga < 50 km Share
    22/2/2016 16:45 NZDT 122.62.3.67 87.00 Mb/s 22.72 Mb/s 29 ms Hamilton ~ 100 km Share

Even with the likes of NZ Herald, Stuff, Trademe, etc can take 15-25 seconds to bring up web page.
Once page is open is very quick.
Interesting thing with speed tests, I'm based in Tauranga, but often ping and speeds is quicker with Auckland than local.
I've tried, for months talking with Spark, to no avail and we come to conclusion that when contract expires we'll look at someone else.
Is what we have, the norm, or is there still an issue I can try and get sorted, but need help as to what to say, to them?
    Any advise appreciated.

On your PC, try changing your DNS to Google Public DNS: https://developers.google.com/speed/...dns/docs/using
Do it on your PC so you're not using the router for DNS at all and see if that resolves it.

    Will mean it's either:
    Your ISP's DNS (Less likely)
Your router being terrible at DNS forwarding (More likely)

I'd say being Spark that it is more likely to be their DNS servers.
We get heaps of clients with issues with Spark and we change the DNS to something else and the problem goes away.
