Well, I put ten bob on Lydia Ko to win, with Murray Halberg for a place.

Well, it was to be expected that they'd give away a lot of points on penalties - it's the nature of the game the ABs have been playing for ages.

But they nearly handed the entire game away.

I'd feel a lot happier about any win if it didn't rely on so many naughty little nuances that the ref isn't meant to see. But ethics, and being proud of a clean victory no longer seems to count. They can shove their cup.

All said and done, it was a deserved victory.

Personally, I don't mind being poisoned, shat upon, derided or even denied being the world's best - it's still the ALL BLACKS who're headed towards the World Cup.
