    Default Problem with gmail account.

    I am having difficulty in sending emails by gmail. I get an error code 0x800CCC13, cannot connect to network or you modem address is not recognised. It is intermittent as some emails do go through but others do not. I do not believe there is a modem problem as everything else works as it should. I am running Win10 Pro.

    What settings do I need to check to make sure this can be corrected?

    Does your Gmail work using Google or an app on a browser?
    Are you using POP or IMAP to receive the Mail? If POP it has to be set up on Google.
    You should send the Mail with your ISP server, eg (SMTP.actrix.co.nz). If you are using a client on your computer, receive with IMAP.gmail.com
    I couldn't get my Windows 10 email client to work either. I use Forte Agent, but Thunderbird works, as does Windows Live Mail.

    Start by telling us what program you are using for email
    Outlook (what ver), thunderbird, windows built in email client etc

    IF its outlook, try disabling ALL comm addins , or run outlook in outlooks 'safe' mode: Outlook /safe

    Are you on wifi ? : it so, plug in via network cable & try again

    It could be an issue with you AV : try disabling the email AV scanning

    After recently upgrading all my PC's to windows 10 I decided I can no longer be bothered with E-mail software. I just use my smartphone and the Gmail website, simple and it works. Before that though I had no issues getting Gmail to work under windows 10, just don't like the app much.

    I'm using Outlook from Office 2007. After a long talk with Vodafone Rep in the Phillipines we did a sfc scannow. The scan found a corrupt file which it fixed and all is back to normal. Apparently there have been other cases since the Win10 introduction.
