    Default GA-z170n-wifi - M.2 connector on back

Just correcting some misinformation on the net (attached images)

Gigabyte carefully avoided mentioning that their SSD M.2 connector was on the back of the GA-z170n-Wifi motherboard.

But it backfired. Commentators looking at photos of the front of the board can't see the connector and think the M.2 connector which holds the Wifi card can be used for SSD if you take the Wifi out (I don't think it can be used for SSD)

The correct M.2 for SSD is on the back, as the pictures show. (It can take PCI-e storage instead of SSD if you've got the money)

They've gotta do that on ITX boards. No where else to put it. Bit cheeky not saying that in the marketing blurb though.

As it's a feature I wanted I got into the habit of examining the images carefully for boards I'm considering. In the end though I went with mATX this time and on my Asus board the M.2 slot is between PCI-E slots on the top.

I just went to the Gigabyte site and looked at the spec pages

    Storage Interface Chipset:

1 x M.2 Socket 3 connector on the back of the motherboard
    2 x SATA Express connectors
    6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10
    * Refer to "1-7 Internal Connectors," for the supported configurations with the M.2, SATA Express, and SATA connectors.
so it is there, if not obvious in the glossy images.
