Thanks for that Lawrence I did look the other day but this time looked more carefully.

Found PPT same place as you mentioned under peripherals. This is on the main Office PC.

The boards got a TPM Header.

Ran the MS tester that still says will not work, but the other tester whynot11 all green now and same says TPM2 is installed, with the exception of the CPU in yellow ? Mind you MS keep changing their minds as to what's required at this stage, but the boot option is now in the green

The latest update has made some better changes, to Win 11 - it was only a cumulative update so no big download.

Seem Microsoft are going to announce a cloud version as well in an up and coming event.

Cloud PC won't replace locally installed Windows (and Office) -- for the foreseeable future, anyway. It will be an option for customers who want to use their own Windows PCs made by Microsoft and/or other PC makers basically like thin clients, with Windows, Office and potentially other software delivered virtually by Microsoft.

I often wonder when I'm looking at the list of known issues etc how many of them are just unfinished code and how many are genuine bugs, in which case you have to wonder about their quality assurance.

Could also be a simple case of working on something that has a side effect on something else, and since some insiders get all uppity if there's not a regular release, they simple put it out and sort the problem later.

Currently running the latest cumulative update on an XPS 13

Settings app has had a nice tidy up, though some options are in weird places now (took me a while to find the make this my main display in display settings).

Also noticed that camera privacy settings don't seem to work for some desktop apps. I like to block it and then enable it when I need it, but even with it off for all desktop apps discord can still use it.

Widgets have started to work in this update (they didn't for me in the last one) but you need to be signed in with a microsoft account to look at them so that's a no go- the minute i signed in it converted my local account to a microsoft one, switched it back straight away.

also their stupid new way to set the default browser is a royal pain in the ass. they removed the section where you can choose a default email app, default browser etc and just let you set extensions by individual apps now, no doubt to try and force people in to using edge. To change my default browser to chrome i had to go in to settings and change every extension listed under chrome individually, seems like a pretty petty move and i hope they backtrack on this.

still wish they would let you remove the recommended menu from start but it looks like they'll just either force you to use it or leave a message taking up half the start menu telling you to enable it. which to be honest is pretty crappy but the registry hack to get the windows 10 start menu back still works so that's ok, whatever.
