This explains why my copy of W11 has never done an automatic update, & never bothered me with notices. Best Windows I have ever used!

Also with Android apps, if you don't allow them to basically look at every thing on the device and all your details they wont install.

I thought that my Win 11 trial may have come to an end yesterday when Outlook 365 went nuts popping up a box about 5 times a second and all the exchange sever accounts went off line wanting their passwords but I couldn't do it. After about an hour of trying things I deleted one of the Exchange server accounts and tried to rebuild it again but it would only rebuild it as an IMAP account not exchange which is no use as there are no contacts. I was on the beta of Office 365 V2109-B 14430-20030. Down graded to 365 Preview but no difference. In the finish I booted back to Win 10 and restored the Win11 partition image from Saturday, booted back up to Win 11 , deleted the OST files and all's going well again. Not sure what happened but at the time this happened but thee things came into play. An update to Microsoft Defender Antivirus, I sent an email with Return Receipt Requested and I ran a Malwarebytes scan.
I rather like to new look of Office 365 do didn't want to go back to Win 10 with the old look though I could have gone to the Office preview and get it back again but would rather not screw around with Win 10 as I've had issues with Office previews before.

The latest update has been very very rocky. I mean that's all and well in a dev build and expected but also a little scary considering how close we are to launch date- surely one build must be RTM by now.

For me, explorer started crashing because Microsoft wrongly injected their teams advertisements in to it. Fixed with a registry hack. Now every time I use the snipping tool shortcut (windows shift S) explorer crashes. hopefully there will be a fix soon, I'm guessing it has something to do with my multi monitor setup.

    Interesting. I'm just downloading 22454.1000.
"Right-clicking on Recycle Bin on the desktop now uses the new modern context menu." Woohoo!
A bunch of fixes as well.

Just a note- now that the dev and beta channels have split, you can expect a lot more instability on dev. Updates can sometimes contain features that aren't even marked for final release yet and are still very buggy.

Jump on the beta channel if you need a more stable experience. You can change in Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program -> Choose your insider settings.
