There's the problem - You let the smoke out. Everyone knows they run on smoke and should never be released.

AND just when MS are bound to be releasing the new version of Windows as well, insiders will get it first ( well the legit one any way)

Another disappointment. I opened up and could see the problem - see pic:

Well fried cable, including a connector to the DVD player that was totally melted, although I don't know if that is the root cause.
Everything else looked OK. I had a spare power supply so I connected it all up, but when I tried to power on, nothing, zilch, nada. The green light on the mobo was lit so there was some power, but nothing else happened at all.
I'll look a bit more to see what I might have missed, but atm it looks like everything is kaput.

    Another PITA.
Not only do I have a dead Insider PC, the Windows 11 health report says my main PC won't run Win 11. It looks like I may be up for a dual upgrade (sigh).

Narrrr theres a "workaround" to getting W11 to install on a PC that Doesn't have a TPM 2.0 chip as the computers are quite old. Both my workshop PC's don't have the Settings in the BIOS (enable TPM) had to do a fresh install of W10, then a in-place upgrade to W11 after changing 1 file in the ISO, worked nicely without problems.

I guess that's some relief, but it is confirming that this PC is probably due for an upgrade anyway.

If I read the thing correctly, it won't affect Win 10 users or insiders testing Win 11 , but if you want to install/upgrade to the final Win 11 it will.
