Oh it definitely happens with Linux. I have never said Linux is perfect, or the be-all-end-all.
I used Gentoo Linux for approx. five years - until I got sick of things breaking on update - you would reboot to a black command line screen from your previous wonderful GUI 2 hours ago.

The difference that you seem to overlook is that Linux is (for most distributions) freeware, Windows is something that has to be paid for. If you were given a prototype car for free, you would expect problems. If you brought a brand new latest version car, one would expect that you could get it through it's first service without any hiccups.

Errrrrr that was 6 years ago, a LOT has changed since then, and of course most of it in the original post was tongue in cheek , but of course you wouldn't understand that, because its about the BETA / testing software, not the public release. This thread has NEVER been about the public versions its only morons like BM that thinks it is.

Talking of testing software:

Just this month alone I personally have requests to remove Linux 20 from several computers and put windows back, WHY -- Its the most unstable piece of rubbish ever put out, that is really still only a BETA. Maybe someone released one of the NIGHTLY builds by mistake thinking it was finished.

But since we are on the subject, please also note that this thread has the highest read, yes some of the posts are only advising of new builds but what part of CHAT don't you understand ?

21313 snuck in all on its own this morning while I was out getting groceries.
The only problem I have been having with Windows Updates is that it updates Nvidia video drivers which cause s MS Flight Sim 2020 to black screen when loading. A couple of minutes spend rolling back the driver fixes that but I must get around to preventing that particular update being installed. I keep thinking maybe the next driver will fix it. The same thing occurs when I get the driver direct from Nvidia so I am not blaming MS for this one.
