Took a while to download and the 1st part install, but on reboot went quickly and no problems.

While Not W10, The Edge Dev Browser has added in a option that quite a few people use, now a quick way, (will be even quicker once they finish it) pinning website shortcuts to the taskbar:

    From the other thread:
My attempts to install the latest insider build failed on both the VM and the multi-booted installation. They both also spawned error 0x80780151, which makes me think there is a problem with the underlying hardware. The install was OK on another PC (ironically, much older and slower).

I searched for the error code 0x80780151 and it seems to refer to possible driver problems.
I was also getting the same error code when I tried to do a system image using the Windows facility.

Cant remember now, but have you tried installing a New VM of the insider build on the same PC. You can have as many VMs as you want (within Reason and space).

Just a thought -- Are you using hyper-V or some other VM Program, like VMWare ?

I tried VMWare a while back, it doesn't like some components /Settings in Windows 10, and you have to fiddle about with the Security settings to allow it to run, AND the so called fix in VMware forums didn't work.

I'm using VMware. I could try another VMware installation or try Hyoer-V, but that still wouldn't explain why I'm having the same problem with the other insider system, which is a native install multi-booted on the same hardware as my main machine.

Got a spare Empty HDD ?? If so plug that in (unplug the others) do a fresh install of a insider build, see if it plays up, if not then its either The install(s) themselves or a original HDD problem. If there is some sort of other Hardware problem then it will also play up on a different drive.

Sometimes its a process of elimination to find where the actual fault is. THEN it can be resolved or at least know what the options are to fix.

I've posted progress on my updating issues to my original thread here. It is totally OT for this thread.

Same old story. The "proper" machines installed OK, but two VMs failed at the first restart - same as last time. I'm going to try convert to Hyper-V. I just have to learn how to import a VMware Workstation VM into Hyper-V. How hard can it be?

I'd also like to be able to activate one of the new VMs. At the moment MS won't let me. How can I get round that? I have no conscience if it is slightly illegal, as I'm not using them for real work, just checking out insider builds.
