    Default Scan disk

Every time I boot up (after a normal shutdown)my computer runs scandisk for one of my logical drives - the same one every time. This drive has been checked fully several times by scandisk and Norton Disk Doctor and no errors found. How can I 'can' this annoying event ?

i suggest that you check your scheduled tasks to make sure you havent got it set up to scan on startup... otherwise have you done a full surface test on the drive??.. if there is a bad sector near the beginning then your system may be writing to it causing small errors on shutdown/startup which will activate your scandisk
