    Question Intel® VT-x not working

    I have an EVGA X58 SLI 3 Intel X58 i7 DDR3 ATX USB 3.0 SATA 3/6G (131-GT-E767-TR) Motherboard, with a Intel Core i7 950 Nehalem 3.06GHz 8MB 1333MHz LGA1366 processor. Now I'm playing with VMWare, and I want to install a 64bit OS, but I'm getting the following error:

Preferred mode unavailable. Using binary translation instead.

This host supports Intel VT-x, but Intel VT-x is disabled.

Intel VT-x might be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or the host has not been power-cycled since changing this setting.

    (1) Verify that the BIOS/firmware settings enable Intel VT-x and disable 'trusted execution.'

    (2) Power-cycle the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed.

    (3) Power-cycle the host if you have not done so since installing VMware Player.

    (4) Update the host's BIOS/firmware to the latest version.
However, if I run the Intel(R) Processor Identification Utility, it says it's on (Click image for larger version.

I've gone into my BIOS and can't find anything under the settings. I'm running Windows 8.1. Does anyone have any ideas??

Default Re: Intel® VT-x not working

Typical, I just worked it out! Unlike everywhere was telling me it wasn't under advanced settings, it was under frequency and voltage... Weird
