Apple and M$ have more or less the same morals and ethics. Neither uses even that little shred much.
Entropy is not what
it used to be.
That view is fairly inaccurate. As it is in this case, MS is busy playing an expensive form of catchup since they regularly get beaten to the punch by Apple (since about 2003) . This situation is another example of what happens when you try and promote your come from behind product when the market leader has already captured public mind share with their product.
Dodgy business morals and ethics were certainly the case back in the late 80's and 90's, now days success is determined by your ability to convince the public (as opposed to the IT dept) to buy your latest wonder gadget - irrespective of whether you are Google, Samsung, Apple, Amazon, Dell..... or who ever.
If it wasn't for marketing in some form we would all be trying guess our way through products in brown paper bags with no labels or descriptions lined up on boring supermaket shelves.

Apple have been playing catchup with Android for a very long time. Things the iPhone are getting now Android already has
