Default Surface tablet / mobile broadband?

Anyone know if the Vodafone, Telecom or 2Degrees sticks work on the Win8 Surface tablets? (w/USB port of course ). Can't seem to find any info on their info pages.

If it works on Windows 8, it'll work on a Surface Pro. Not sure about Windows RT though.

Cheers. Will check and see what model they have, I think it may be the RT though.

You could use a smartphone as a wi-fi hotspot with any of them if you have one available, easier than a usb stick in many cases.

It's RT so no go there. She doesn't have a smartphone, but I saw one of these in action today with someone's iPad http://telecom.co.nz/shop/mobile/mob...e-hotspot.html
Looks like an ideal solution in this case.

No, even Windows RT can connect to wireless networks most smartphones can already do what the device you linked to does.

Oops, to clarify - no go with T-stick software installing on the RT.

I'm using one of those Telecom Huawei E5220 WiFi hotspots. It all works perfectly here with 2x notebooks and 2x tablets in our motorhome.
Shop around though. I paid $59 with 2GB data at NL about six months ago.
I'm still churning through my 6 $29 t-stick transferred 2GB loaded SIM cards.
