    Default Compressing files

I have a file of around 23 mb which I need to email or save to a disk and post. Can anyone please tell me how to reduce the file size? Thank you in advance! Kind regards

PowerDesk is an excellent programme for handling compressed files. WinZip is another. Before you Email it make sure you and the recipient have a fast connection because even compressed it will take a while.
You will need a few disks if you are going to zip the files to them.

What type of file is it? Certain types of files compress better than others, for example an Excel spreadsheet usually compresses to 10% of its original size. If the file is an image you could alway resave it at a lower resolution.

Thanks for your interest Tristan, the file is in Publisher and is made up of photos and text. I don't think I can reduce the resolution as it needs to be printed at the other end and so should be of high res. Thanks again for your help
