    Unhappy NOD 32 :(

Ok i have had this for a while now but it regularly sends me the red box of not being up to date.
some how i have lost the auto update so it will do itself with out me remembering.......

but today we had a power outage in wanga's and peach set the date as 1 January 2003.............so now Nod is telling me last update sucessful 1 January 2003 how on earth do i change that ? because it keeps telling me it is up to date but the red ! wont go away and i have no idea how to change the date. or get the auto updater thing to work with out me......... daily, not just when computer is turned on, cos they are hardly ever turned off.......

clear as mud? i would clean it but we have no water....... and irratic power.........

    thanks

Sometimes, the update alert is for the OS, for Windows update and not the NOD32 definitions.
You should be able to click on the clock in the system tray to change your date, exact steps varies depending on if you're ok XP/Vista/Win7/Win8

    OR check these links

If you have a real problem you may have to uninstall and reinstall, provided you still have your user name and access key available.

About the auto updating, Cant remember fully, but didn't you have to re-install Nod32 a while back for some reason ?

If so did you set the auto update to run hourly (thats what I set it to by default).

Also regarding the clock you can click on the clock bottom right hand corner of the icon tray, open it and change the time/date there. OR it may have changed it in the BIOS as well, which means it will need changing there.

    and irratic power
Thats wont be doing any PC's any good.

Might I suggest UPS or changing CMOS battery?

If your clock reset on power outage your BIOS battery is probably dead.

That or the battery holder may be dirty. Happened to me on an Asus K8N. Took me a while to figure out since it was the first time it had ever happened to me. But close inspection showed one of the contacts was tarnished black. After cleaning it worked fine.
Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.

Yes to both ideas........ its a case of when either is possible.........me and electricity dont mix, and i have no idea where or how to check, or change battery......or even what im looking for...... sadly its not near the top on the list of priorities........
