Default MBP just died what is best next not MAC

    Hi All
As stated above my MBP died and I am looking for a good to top quality 15 to 17 inch(better 17) laptop. Need to be able to use at least one xtra screen, latest cpu and graphics. I tend to look at ASUS though not sure what's most reliable out there.
Would be nice to have WT giving some hint of what is the least repaired machine(laptop) in his workshop?
    Any suggestions welcome and thanks!

Asus are always a great option. Some kind of price range might be helpful?

Budget, new or used, what is it used for?

Right, I stick with my original recommendation.

You can spec up quite a nice Lenovo Thinkpad W530 for that money. Or an HP Elitebook.

    System Components
Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz)
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) LED Backlit Anti-Glare Display, Mobile Broadband Ready with color calibration sensor
NVIDIA Quadro K2000M Graphics with 2GB DDR3 Memory
    Color Sensor
    8 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (2 DIMM)
    Keyboard Backlit - US English
UltraNav with Fingerprint Reader for Color Sensor, Smart Card Reader
    720p HD Camera with Microphone
256GB Solid State Drive, OPAL SATA3
    DVD Recordable
Express Card Slot & 4-in-1 Card Reader & Smart Card Reader
    9 Cell Li-Ion TWL 70++
    170W Slim AC Adapter - US (3pin)
    Bluetooth 4.0 with Antenna
    Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN
    Mobile Broadband upgradable
    Warranty & Software
    3YR Depot

    $2070

Those are more the business orientated choices, assuming coming from a MBP you aren't a big gamer?

Sorry for not getting back to you. Main use is CAD and some graphic work and office work. Graphic work uses the odd occasion large drawings/images.
    No games.

The likes of the HP 8570W Elitebook are pretty much built to be CAD machines, they are not consumer grade laptops. Dockable with 3 years next day on-site warranty. AFAIK ASUS only does consumer grade gear.

Looking at PricSpy they are around 4.9k. I don't want to spend that much.
