    Default Speeders through Roadworks

Heres the scene State Highway, 1 km length of road being realigned and built up. So therfore loose gravel all over it, Roadworkers on site Traffic lights controlling part of it with a junction and livestock (horses in the field beside the road. Dry day (over the summer). Your travelling through the roadworks then some half wit in a Hilux tears past you at 50-60kph showing you vehicle with gravel and damaging your vehicle.

    How would you react?

Here is part of the Twist!

Yes we did even got it on dashboard video! Police response..............not even logged the incident despite an admission from the driver and the video footage to back up the claim.

Should also mention that in the car was two school age children and a very pissed off mother. Now why do you think the Police not interested?

There is a good reason for putting speed limits on road works. This makes it safer for road workers to do their job.

I have lost count on the number of stone chips that we have on our windscreen because rocks are thrown up usually from trucks.

Well, I sympathize completely! Because last Friday afternoon, was driving back to Taupo from Hamilton and there are numerous patches of roadworks all along SH1. Gravel, new seal on an uphill double lane passing area, 50km signs all the way.
I and a few law abiding other drivers were going according to the limit, and then what do several other inconsiderate twits do? Exactly , whiz past at open road speed and shower me and everyone else with stones! Grrr!
Don't what's the matter with some people, can only hope it happens to them one day I guess.
