    Default IE shuts down computer

    Windows 7 HP

Only when using IE does the computer crash BSOD

When I reboot I get this Windows error:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1046

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 50
    BCP1: FFFFF880A28389A0
    BCP2: 0000000000000000

Possible Faulty memory - one of the common causes for 0x00000050 - IE may be hitting the "right spots"

I would run tdsskiller see if its got rootkits. <- direct link

If it picks anything up select sure then reboot. Looks like that stop error can be caused by rootkits

Might be something in IE / like malware / toolbars that are crashing windows.

Go to the folder IE is in / right mouse properties. add -extoff to the end of the target. So "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" becomes "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff

See what happens. This should disable addons
