Image of the os

Can anyone tell me how I can do a backup / Image of the OS, so if anything goes wrong I can fall back to it??

Win 7 has it's own built in one which works very well. If not Win7 then active@ is very good and can do backups over a network as can Win7 But not Home premium

Active@ Disk Image works for me. I find it simple and reliable to use. As Gary said W7 has its own built in system.
