How to View Photos as a Slide Show from a Folder in Windows 8

I am downloading photos taken from a security camera using a SDHC card. It would be much simpler to view the photos as a slide show.

I am looking for a viewer rather than trying to create a slide show.

Any suggestions about a program that I could use.

The files are saved as JPG.

Windows itself works: in the folder with the pictures, select the Manage tab in the ribbon and click Slide show. (It works for me in the Pictures library at least.)

Thanks pcuser. You put me on the right track I remember using Windows Photo Viewer with Windows 7. I think that I have JPGs in Windows 7 on my desktop set to open in Windows Photo Viewer by default. I find that I can also locate the photo I want to start at, right click it and choose 'open with' Windows Photo Viewer. Thanks easy as, no need to download another program.
