Looks like the latest version of 6 and 7 are exploitable
The chances of being the one chosen to be hacked out of 3 billion would seem to be pretty small, like fish swimming in shoals of billions for protection when attacked by circling sharks![]()
Except the attack is likely automated when you innocently surf past a corrupted website, or a hijacked link sends you there.
Then again, java has been a security PITA for ages anyway, so is this really anything further to fear?

I have indeed disabled it, this is a major threat at present, with the typical arrogant tardiness Oracle displays when issuing patches (next release in October I believe).
Shame they bought Sun, wrecked a lot of good stuff.
