I for one am looking forward to this, I am still very happy with Windows 7 so it will have be pretty hard to beat, but at least the price is right...
Microsoft are claiming that upgrades Windows 8 Pro from XP/Vista/7 will be $39 from release until Jan 1st 2013.
I am a little concerned about the 'app store' style market they are talking about though - they best not start locking down what software can be used!
I'll most likely dual-boot with Windows 7, just to try the finished OS out. (Pretty sure I'll get it for free being a CompSci student.)
Dual boot may not be such a bad idea. I can see a learning curve coming up as Windows 8 is quite a bit different from other Windows versions.
