    Default Mila the elephant

    So i know i am opening myself up here and its going to spark some interesteing feedback, but To me this is important.

    Mila is the elephant that crushed her handler to death a few weeks ago. story on close up last night that unless they can raise $1.5m she'll haven Tom be destroyed.

    Well, seeing nobody else seems interested, maybe you could get hold of Hone Key and tell him Mila is a Maori Elephant and of Cultural Importance and Spiritual Significance.

    That should solve the money side of things.

    Why is the Elephant not moved to the Auckland Zoo? They are social animals and she would probably settle there.

    Mila is an AFRICAN elephant and the ones at Auckland Zoo are Indian. She would not be accepted into the group and would probably be killed. This was mentioned recently on the TV news.

    let the elephant die or send him back into the wild,

    human life is more important than elepahnts plus she already killed her trainner,

    they wanna raise 1.5 million dollars for a animal and there are kids starving in south auckland?

    Depends who they are - there are many people who I would consider far less important than an elephant.

    Hmmmm, a well thought out response there. Send her back to the wild? The wild of northland or are you saying spend 1.5m to send her overseas to the real wild? Wait hang on a minute that sounds familiar...

    Maybe it's a budget defecit elephant that knows full well that asset sales will leave us with less money, not more, and John wants it to die quietly in a back room ...
