I'm a bit behind in my reading and have just read a 2008 article about a "Rainbow Room" being dedicated in the Beehive to the contribution to society made by gays, lesbians and trans-gender citizens. Does anyone know how many of our sitting MPs are gay, lesbian or trans-gender?

I've never understood what sexual preference has to do with who you are or what you do. As long as no one is getting hurt, what people do in the privacy of their own lives is nobodys business.

We vote and pay for politicians we should know every single thing about them. Its my right to know if they are homosexual and my right not to vote for them. Its part and parcel of running for public office.
