    Hi there all.
    Here is a site that might interest some Linux users especially laptop users.
    Computers are like Air Conditioners, they stop working when you open Windows.

    Thanks Mike. i'm trying to get to grips with linux on an old laptop and this site looks useful.

    Yes, I've been using powertop for a while - gets a reasonable extension to battery life on the lappy.
    There's silt on your ankles
    And sand on your feet
    The river too shallow
    The ocean too deep
