What to do in Wellington for the day?

We are coming to Wellington in a few weeks on a cruise ship; we have been to Wellington, before in 2008.

When we where last there we went to the Bee Hive and did a tour of it and also did the Wellington Cable Car and had a look around the Botanic Gardens we also went to Te Papa.

I was wondering what else is there to do in Wellington for the day? Is there anything not miss??

And what would you recommend doing on Wellington??

Any ideas / suggestions are welcome

You could visit weta workshops although last time I was there I dont remember being that interested, something I remember being quite good though is the place that makes all the fabric for films such as narnia. Its all done by hand on a 1900's loom. Its in the hutt but I cant remember where

There is a lovely view of the city from the top of Mt Victoria. Tour buses go up there daily. Well worth the trip.

Head into Cuba, find an establishment with out door seating, sit back, quench your thirst and your appetite while watching the interesting people of Wellington do what they do and soaking up some music.

I think he means the place that makes the fabrics is in the Hutt.
