    Default iPhone problem?

    Hi guys, it seems i have a problem with my iPhone. in the top left hand corner it says "no service" and its driving me mad coz i cant make phone calls or text. been like for a few days now anyone have any idea how to fix this?

    Ring the provider / whoever you use .. It maybe down

    dont know if its the provider (vodafone) coz my buddys iphone works perfectly i also tried the sim in another phone and it works does anyone know if jailbreaking is playing a part in this?

    What model iPhone is yours, and your mates? Coz the Vodafone network wasn't 'properly' supported until the iPhone4, so if you have a 3GS and your mate has an iPhone4, then that could also have an influence.

    Roughly, where were you, and what exact model iPhone do you have? What iOS version are you running ?

    It could be the jailbreak.
    I did a jailbreak on my old 3GS and it had the same issue.
    I had to reset and redo the jailbreak again and that fixed it.

    Well i have iPhone 3gs running iOS 4.3.3 same as my mates and i also live in auckland. Not keen to do a full restore but if i have to....

    It's the first thing that Vodafone / whoever are likely to try ... So you might as well!

    Whats the issue with a full restore? Just restore it then reload your backup from itunes

    He might have heaps of jailbroken tweaks/themes...etc which will be deleted when restores.
